Juliet Completes PhD

Congratulations to Dr Juliet Barclay, who passed her PhD viva in January! Juliet was the last PhD to join our group while we were at Durham University and moved with the group to the University of York. During her time in the group, she pioneered our new line of research into state-independent electrolytes. The first paper on the topic was published a couple of weeks before her viva in Science - a big cherry on top to the end of a very successful PhD! Juliet also spent time at the National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS), Japan, to investigate the application of our materials to computing devices. Her thesis was selected for the annual KMS Thesis Prize in the Chemistry Department at the University of York. Thank you to her PhD examiners Martin Bryce and John Slattery.

Juliet has now moved on to a PDRA position at the University of Manchester. Good luck, Juliet!
